The audition is open to all, with the performances divided into three days. The songs are chosen by the students themselves and performed live by them, together with the teachers' band.

The aim of the auditions is to get the students to put into practice everything they learn in their day-to-day lessons, applying theory directly to the instrument they are studying. Through ensemble practice, musical skills and resourcefulness in live performance are worked on and stimulated.

Galeria Zequinha Mauro hosts exhibition "PERDIDOS" by Guto Mattos

Date: 13/07/2014 to 22/08/2024
Hours: from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday
Venue: Humberto Mauro Cultural Center

Gutto Mattos has been an art teacher at the Siccob Coopemata Cultural Center in Cataguases for over five years and has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from CES/Juíz de Fora. The initial idea behind the "Lost" series is to experiment with the visuals of mystical beings and flora, mixing human representations with vegetation. Although they refer to the human form, the shapes are expressed in vivid and dense colors, in order to symbolize guardian spirits of this imaginary, enchanted and mystical planet, who hide and mix with this new wild age.
